The Legend of the Tai Chi Spirit Warriors
After centuries of chaotic meditation, an ancient Tai Chi Grandmaster awakens.
He's confident, deadly, and full of terrible advice (he swears it works).
Still, if something needs defeating, he's the one to do it.
He recruits elite Tai Chi students who believe they can fight a great war at his side (if only someone told them there is no war).
They feel destined to save the world (in their heads, very convincingly).
They train at sunrise.
They meditate at sunset.
They practice movements so slow they appear frozen in time.
They believe every word the Grandmaster says.
Even the parts that contradict the parts he said five minutes earlier.
He speaks of balance.
He speaks of flow.
He speaks for a very long time.
The students nod.
They don't fully understand.
Understanding is not required.
"...Hmm. Okay."
The meditation is over.
The Tai Chi is ready.
The confidence is... unmatched.
Drums echo.
Wind moves through silk robes.
The Grandmaster raises one hand.
Not to attack.
Not to defend.
Just to *gesture meaningfully*.
The students fall into formation uneven, but passionate.
They are calm.
They are centered.
They are absolutely certain something important is about to happen.
The world holds its breath.
The Tai Chi Spirit Warriors are ready.
For what?
No one knows.
But they are ready anyway. ✨
